Web talk to cell talk

One of the beauties of an online presence is literally living online. In moderation of course!.

Joining superb communities such as Matador Travel. Friendships spanning borders. Enriching your life by learning from others. Kindred souls who continually encourage and share with each other.

Even better when you get to meet your new buddies offline.

There are so many friends I’ve made online – writers, photographers, artists, wonderful editors, techies – who I can’t wait to meet in person.

Been blessed to spend some quality time with the following inspirational ladies in person:

Felicia Shelton of “This Time in Seoul”

This immensely talented American photographer currently based in South Korea recently returned home to Virginia where we got a chance to finally catch up in person. Multilingual (having lived for extended periods of time in Sweden and France), Felicia’s energy is undeniable and refreshing. Be sure to check out her blog – http://nearandfar.wordpress.com

Julie Schwietert of “Collazo Projects” / Co-editor – Matador Pulse

Often described as a prolific writer, read Julie’s writing and you’ll begin to understand the deep roots of her talent. Fluent in Spanish, her passion, and knowledgeable depth and breadth of Cuba and Latin culture is nothing short of amazing and authentic.

Find Julie at http://collazoprojects.com and http://www.matadorpulse.com

Cheers to you ladies and keep living life on your own terms.

    Hi, Lola-

I’m blushing! It was wonderful to meet, you, too, and when I think about the numerous paths we’re both taking, it’s pretty incredible that they happened to cross in D.C.! I hope we meet many more times, but I’m so grateful for our friendship.
