I needed some fresh air. A twelve hour ride up to Swedish Lapland along the High Coast had left me with a nasty cold…. after winding down my window close to 50 times to take scenic pictures against the rushing wind!.
We drove to the little town of Älvsbyn – the pearl of Norrbotten – to the powerful, rushing waters of Storforsen – the largest whitewater rapids in Sweden which drops 262 feet over 5 kilometers…..
It was the remedy I needed.

Gorgeous! Looks like you are having so much fun.
but those pictures were probably worth the cold!
lovely pix lola, most of all, I’d love to spend some where you are in that last picture, there are some beautiful places in this world man!
^^spend some time^^
Nice! It looks so clean and fresh.
Thanks guys! It was very relaxing and the air was soooo fresh!
Wow, those pics take me back to my one Nordic summer…the first time I had been in a place where, even with the sun high overhead, there was still an underlying chill in the air (I’m from Florida, after all). The closest I can get to that in the Caribbean is brushing with minty-fresh toothpaste. Great jump: as monster truck rally aficionados would say – you got “mad air.”
Gorgeous. I hope to go there one day. It’s not that far for me, but there always seem to come up more interesting trips… *giggles*
