On a weekend jaunt from Stockholm to Latvia, we spent the day exploring Riga. There was a photography exhibition right in the heart of Doma Laukums (Main Square). We spent the next half hour studying the exhibition.
As we rounded a corner, there was a photograph depicting young adults at some sort of rave or party.
Dressed conservatively in a long black dress, stockings, and covered toe shoes and also studying the same party photograph was an old Latvian woman.
The look on her face said it all.

One of my photos will be the cover of the fall issue of an online magazine. More on that later. Got a couple honorable mentions from International Photography Awards, CITY Magazine, and Photographer’s Forum Magazine.

I swear I will start taking more photos with people in them. I love yours too much not to give it a go myself!
Thanks Theresa. I loved the expression on her face.
This lady was like, “What in the world is this foolishness?” (I love putting southern accents in other people’s mouths).
Congrats on your magazine cover and your honorable mentions! CITY magazine rocks!
priceless.
Fantastic as always! And I agree with Theresa… I’ve started snapping photos of people after YEARS of resistance and it’s all because of you!
Thanks guys for your comments! I really appreciate and truly love those candid moments.
