It seemed surreal staring at the cover of the complimentary copy of Faceless Voices that arrived in my mailbox last week.
I remember chatting with Temo two years back when it was still being written and finalized.
She needed an image for the book.
After bouncing a few ideas back and forth, we played around with a small camera, trying on different styles and poses. In a sense, playing dress up.
The result was my self portrait as the cover photo for her book.
Faceless Voices is a collection of 7 short stories that explore human emotions and relationships, and are “loosely based on the senses: sight, hearing, touch, taste, smell, and intuition”.
Can’t wait to dig into my copy on the plane.

I like this image! It’s definite yet a little uncertain. Congrats!
Fly Girl – Thanks! Its one of those goofying around pictures that actually turned out to be useful!
Cool photo. I actually know Temo too; I took a writing class that she was also in at GW. I remember that she was working on the book back then.
