Shot in Warsaw, till this day, I wonder what the Polish officer on the right was thinking when his face took on that irritated look. Plain disgust at me [the pesky traveler] that I’d dare pull out my camera in front of him? Something much deeper?
He wasn’t having any of it, but what makes this picture one of my favorites is the balance in disposition between him and his buddy on the left. The officer on the left, clearly more relaxed, adjusting himself for the picture smiles gently towards his colleague.
“Lighten up!”, his smile seems to say.

Hmmm. That’s an interesting scene that probably inspires different reactions depending on what country the viewer is from and their perception of the police.
Luv this story – I like your writing style. This scene is close to home for me though.
Really, I think the guy on the left holding his belt let one go, and the frowning fellow caught wind of it ;-p
