Taming a Creative Mind

The problem (or maybe the blessing in disguise) with a hyper-creative mind is the directionless flow of ideas that keep tumbling out. From reviving existing projects and launching new ventures to toying with the idea of going back to school and more, my mind has been crunching overtime this past week.

Took me back to Roskilde when I visited an artisan’s woodworking studio. He could envision what he wanted and birth it from simple slabs of wood. The tools are there but trying to carve out something specific from that wooden block when there are so many possibilities is the vice of a hyper-creative individual.

Three ideas I do hope to explore in upcoming months are book projects. A photography book with words/anecdotes from other travelers, a travel book idea that I’d love to pitch to the likes of Fodor’s or Frommer’s, and yes, the memoirs of an African traveler (over time of course).

In other news – Just received my copy of the jaw-droppingly stunning book – Friendship, Family, Love & Laughter. You can click the link for a preview of the book. Feel blessed to have been chosen to contribute. Also updated the notables page with some photojournalism contributions and more.

Photo shot in Roskilde, Denmark.

I can definitely relate to this! It’s a constant battle to choose priorities instead of scattering all over the place…
