Heading to TBEX In Copenhagen

November 3, 2010

Denmark - Travel Photography by Lola Akinmade

Super stoked to be heading back to Copenhagen this week to participate in the first ever TBEX on European soil. The first “official” conference was in New York earlier this year, and was more than anything, a chance to hug people I’ve known for years behind avatars.

TBEX Europe is structured differently. There will be deep-dive workshops on topics such as Narrative & Non-narrative travel writing, Video Blogging, Branding & Using Imagery in Blogging, and so much more. Fellow travel writer Andrew Evans from National Geographic Traveler and I (representing Matador Network) will be running the workshop on “Narrative Travel Writing”.

I’ll also be presenting a plenary session on how to pitch various outlets.

If this 3-day slew of scheduled activities is any indication, there will be lots of stories to tell and photos to snap! It’s not too late to register so click the link below.
