Photos: History and modern style collide at Castlemartyr – Ireland

Ireland - People and faces at Castlemartyr (Lola Akinmade)

While recently in Country Cork Ireland, I got to dine at the impressive Castlemartyr Resort which is a refurbished grand 17th century country manor house located adjacent ruins of an 800-year-old-castle.

Oh, You know me and centuries’ old properties.

Throughout the property, you’ll see vintage mahogany armours and gold-trimmed mirrors next to trendy contemporary styled rooms with clean lines, so I truly don’t know how to describe the property except that history and trendy are colliding all at once in a way that may or may not appeal to you.
