When I found out Quark Expeditions was looking for a blogger/writer to document their June 2011 Arctic expedition to the North Pole, I typed in an entry faster than I could refresh the contest page…

I didn’t take a single photograph over Thanksgiving though I had good intentions. My goal was to play with both fixed lenses – 50mm and 35mm – over the break, shooting everything in sight, but it never happened. The camera never left its bag, and for the first time in a really long time, I didn’t care.

Finally made it back home to Sweden after our flight was diverted due to icy runways and strong winds in Copenhagen. Much to be grateful for over this holiday season. While I catch up on work, upcoming posts, and friends’ blogs via RSS reader, wanted to share latest publications as well as a couple shout outs.
